FloridaAs CMS emphasizes the resident centered approach to care, I have been amazed at what we have learned through the SNFQAPI web application. The aspect of just reviewing the medical record is long gone. SNFQAPI has many indicators where the staff member has to go out and interview the residents and family. It has been eye opening to discover that what we thought we were doing right as a facility was not the same perception the residents had. As such we have made improvements based on those interviews and our customer satisfaction scores have risen, our facility reputation has improved so much our quality mix has changed for the better. I attribute it to SNFQAPI and the facility responding to questions we would have never thought to ask. I like how we can print our Satisfaction Survey results to give to Attending Physicians and the discharge planners on our letterhead with one click of a button. -

FloridaMy Director of Nursing and myself run a very fast paced post acute facility. We typically do 150 admissions and discharges a month and we found we needed a quality assurance program to assist us in maintaining compliance. We chose SNFQAPI and could not be happier. Once we set up our committees with their members and assigned the indicators to the members, there was no more we had to do to the program. The DSD is in charge of SNFQAPI. In addition, the program has features to assist you in the process. The program automatically sends out all of the indicators to each member at 12:01 AM on the first of each month and also sends out reminders on the 15th during the month. This leaves us additional time to be actually working on improving our quality of care and identifying areas we need to work on. We are 5 star and attribute our success to using SNFQAPI. -

IllinoisI could see the benefits of SNFQAPI at the first demonstration. It's a fantastic tool, giving us everything we need. Staff are using SNFQAPI now and adapting well to it. They will like it even more next year, when they can see the benefits first hand. It's able to produce more live data, hand in hand with NetSolutions. It's a good tool for morning meetings. If something has popped up in SNFQAPI activities, it can be addressed before it's a problem. SNFQAPI prevents overlooking issues and shows exactly what's going on. Sometimes it's things people don't even think about - it keeps you on top of everything.
